How to install IPTV Harmony on LG Smart TV
LG Smart TVs run webOS and use the LG Content Store for apps. Install a player such as IBO Player Pro, note the MAC address it shows, and link your IPTV Harmony playlist on the developer's website or ask our team to do it. Setup takes about 10 minutes.
Step-by-step setup
You need your IPTV Harmony login from the welcome email and about 10 minutes. Login type on this device: Playlist added on the player's website (MAC address).
Step 1: Open the LG Content Store
Press the Home button and open Apps (LG Content Store on older models). Use search to find the player.
Step 2: Install and open
Select Install, wait for it to finish, then select Launch.
Step 3: Copy the MAC address
The player's first screen shows the MAC address and, for some apps, a device key. Note both.
Step 4: Link your playlist
Send the MAC address to our support team, or add the M3U link from your welcome email on the developer's official website yourself.
Step 5: Reopen the player
Close the app and start it again. Your channel groups and programme guide load from the playlist.
If something doesn't work
Most problems come from a mistyped login, an outdated app or a weak network connection. These are the issues we see most on LG Smart TV.
Channels load but stop after a few seconds
Switch the TV to a wired connection or the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band, and turn off the TV's “Quick Start+” power option, then restart.
The app asks for activation
The developer's trial has ended. Activate the app on the developer's website; the fee goes to them.
Tips for LG Smart TV
- Use the Magic Remote's pointer to scroll long channel lists faster.
- If your LG TV is older than about 2017, a Fire TV Stick is usually the easier option.
IPTV Harmony on LG Smart TV: questions
Can I use IPTV Harmony on an LG TV without an extra device?
Yes, on most recent models. You install a player from the LG Content Store and link your playlist to it. No stick or box is needed.
What is the MAC address for?
TV players use the MAC address to identify your television so the playlist you add on their website reaches the right TV. It is not a password and does not give access to your TV.
